Christine Bessler is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Technology at ProHealth Care. She has responsibility over information systems, telecommunication, informatics, and project management office. Under Christine’s leadership, ProHealth Care has successfully attested for Stage 1 of meaningful use for its hospitals and physicians, as well as has attained Stage6 designation on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM). In addition, this last year ProHealth Care was the first healthcare system to produce reports and data out of Epic’s new Cogito data warehouse in a production environment, positioning the system to deliver against an advanced self-service business intelligence capability in the future.
Christine has a passion for furthering quality healthcare, through contributions in technology to support this challenging area. In addition to her professional demands at ProHealth Care, she is involved in many other professional and charitable organizations, serves on several boards involved in employee assistance and promoting technology in healthcare.
She often contributes as a mentor and educator in teaching opportunities to masters programs and other professional networks focused on topics on her expertise in technology, governance, strategic planning, and project management. She has developed accredited courses on the topics of change management, as well as portfolio and project management. She is a certified change agent and Project Management Professional (PMP).
